- How to order a part from China with only a nameplate photoOne clear photo of the nameplate is often enough to find the manufacturing plant. If the plate is worn off, the unit is identified from three or four dimensions, photos of where it is installed and data on the machine it sits on.
- How to choose a replacement for a burnt-out motor that fits the placeFor the new motor to fit without rework, it must match not only the kW and speed but also the frame size (shaft height), version (feet or flange), shaft (diameter, length, key) and the spacing of the foot holes. The same power comes in different frame sizes in different series.
- PLC discontinued: what to replace it with and what about the programThere are three paths: find the same controller, fit a successor from the same brand, or rework the cabinet for a new series. Which one works is decided not by the hardware but by the program: whether you have a copy of it or not.
- How to replace a servo motor: why the motor and drive come as a pairA servo motor works only with its own drive: the drive reads the motor's encoder and knows its parameters. So a replacement is sought by the full motor model and the drive model together. A motor of another brand that is the same in kilowatts will not work without changing the drive and retuning.
- How to choose a VFD (frequency inverter) for a motorA VFD is chosen by the motor current and by the load, not only by kilowatts. For a pump or fan the light-duty rating is enough; for a conveyor, mixer or crusher the heavy-duty one is needed. Three more questions: the supply voltage, whether fast braking is needed, and how long the motor runs at low speed.
- How to put together a request for several spare parts at oncePut all items into one table: one row, one spare part. In each row give what it is, the model or marking, the dimensions, the quantity, the machine it sits on and a photo. The supplier can work through such a request at once, without a dozen emails asking you to clarify.
