- What is checked at the plant before shipmentFour things are checked before shipment: is it the right item, do the dimensions fit, is the whole lot there, and will the packing survive the trip. This is the only moment when a mistake can be fixed at the plant rather than after delivery.
- How to tell a counterfeit bearing from a genuine oneA counterfeit often cannot be told apart by sight: both the ring and the box are copied. Three methods are reliable: buy from the manufacturer or its authorized distributor, scan the packaging code with the manufacturer's app, and send a photo of the marking to the manufacturer if in doubt.
- How to check a plant in China before your first orderA plant is checked in three layers: papers, register, shop floor. Ask for the business license, check it against China's official register, and see the workshop live, by video or in person. No single check proves anything on its own. Together they tell a plant from a trading company and from a fly-by-night firm.
- When to order a sample before the lot, and when you don't need oneA sample is needed when quality cannot be described by a number: forming fabrics, screens, knives, rubber products, parts made to a drawing, a new plant. It is not needed for a standard unit with a catalog number, such as a bearing or a motor. An approved sample becomes the reference against which the whole lot is checked.
- How to accept cargo at your warehouse: what to check on unloadingFirst you look at the truck or container from outside: seal, tarpaulin, signs of moisture. Then you count the packages against the packing list, photograph the opening and check the marking against the order. Anything that does not match goes into the report and the waybill before you sign, not after.
- Wrong part or defect arrived: what to do, step by stepDo not install the disputed part on the machine. Photograph it, record the discrepancy in a report, check it against the order and notify the supplier in writing: what was ordered, what arrived, and what you want: a replacement, a supplementary delivery or a fix. The sooner and more precise the paper, the shorter the dispute.
