A fire-tube boiler for a gas or oil burner. An economiser in the tail section recovers heat from the flue gases, which gives an efficiency of up to 96 percent on natural gas. The rear wall carries an explosion-relief device, and the smoke box with a labyrinth seal opens to both sides for cleaning. The automation includes interlocks and remote monitoring.
