How a delivery runs

The same procedure for any batch, from a single wagon of rebar to a plate line for structural steel. Every step is closed by a document, not a promise.

Five steps from specification to warehouse

The same procedure for any batch, from a single wagon of rebar to a plate line for structural steel.

  1. Step

    Specification

You send grade, sizes, standard and tonnage. We clarify tolerances, coating, length and packing exactly as the mill will record them.

    You send
Grade, sizes, standard, tonnage and delivery city, as a list, a file or a specification assembled from the catalogue tables.
    The bureau does
Translates the specification into the mill’s terms: tolerances, length, coating, packing, certificate type. An empty field is clarified by a question, not a guess.
    Document of the step
A request with a TMS-Z number and the agreed specification.
  2. Step

    Producing mill

We select a mill that rolls this item itself rather than resells it. We agree the price to your warehouse and the contract terms.

    You send
Answers to clarifications: the design grade, whether a GOST, GB or ASTM equivalent is acceptable, limits on length and packing.
    The bureau does
Selects a mill that rolls this item itself, requests a mill certificate for a sample of the batch, agrees the price to your warehouse and the contract terms.
    Document of the step
A quotation with the price to your warehouse and the contract with the producing mill.
  3. Step

    Mill inspection

Before shipment: thickness and diameter measurement, mill certificate checked against the heat number on the tag, marking, packing, weight. You receive a photo-documented report.

    You send
Nothing: the inspection is part of the delivery. Optionally, a request for an independent SGS, Bureau Veritas or TÜV inspection.
    The bureau does
An inspector at the mill before shipment: thickness and diameter measured, the heat number on the certificate checked against the tag, marking, packing, weighing, a photo of every bundle.
    Document of the step
The photo-documented inspection report and the mill test certificate (MTC).
  4. Step

    Route of the batch

Wagon, container or road train, depending on tonnage and site. Customs and certification are handled by the bureau; you see where the batch is.

    You send
Warehouse address, receiving hours, restrictions on access and unloading.
    The bureau does
Chooses wagon, container or road train by tonnage and site, handles the customs declaration and certification in Uzbekistan, reports where the batch is.
    Document of the step
Packing list, invoice, transport documents, certificate of origin, customs declaration.
  5. Step

    Acceptance at the warehouse

Checked against the specification and weighed in your presence. The second control point closes the delivery with an acceptance report.

    You send
A representative at unloading and a scale; if there is no scale, the weight from the carrier’s documents.
    The bureau does
Checks the batch against the specification and packing list, records the weight, draws up the acceptance report.
    Document of the step
The acceptance report. Defects confirmed by report are replaced: the producing mill supplies the replacement under its contract with the bureau.

Two control points

The batch is checked twice: at the mill before shipment and at your warehouse on unloading. Between the two points it travels with the documents both points check against.

before shipment

Mill inspection

  • Plate thickness and pipe wall — with a micrometer, at several points of every bundle
  • Rebar and bar diameter — with calipers, ovality within the standard tolerance
  • Mill test certificate: the heat number on the tag matches the certificate
  • Marking on the steel and tags: grade, standard, mill, heat number
  • Packing: strapping, edge protection, bundles at the specified weight
  • Batch weighed on the mill scales, every bundle photographed

on unloading

Warehouse acceptance

  • Bundle count and numbers against the packing list
  • Batch weight on your scale or from the carrier’s documents
  • Marking and tags against the mill certificate and the inspection report
  • Condition of packing and edges after transit
  • Acceptance report signed by both sides; discrepancies are recorded in it

How we ship

The batch travels by rail through Kazakhstan in wagons or containers, or by road train, depending on tonnage, dimensions and site. Large tonnage is assembled by wagon load, small tonnage by container or as part of a consolidated shipment.

Paperwork, certification in Uzbekistan and the customs declaration are handled by the bureau. The batch is visible at every node: shipment, border, arrival, warehouse.

The second point closes the delivery

The bundle is lowered onto your site, weighing and checking happen in your presence, both sides sign the acceptance report. Defects confirmed by report are replaced: the producing mill supplies the replacement under its contract with the bureau.

Price request

Send your specification and we will quote your batch

Steel pricing depends on grade, size, tonnage and delivery terms on the day of contract. A number on the page would be wrong by the time you read it.
